The next stop on the grand tour was to Texas–we drove almost straight through from Colorado (quick overnight rest in an abandoned parking lot in New Mexico which Ben described as “stabby”) and we knew we were back home when we threw open the RV door and were hit with a blast of hot moist air reminiscent of a steam sauna. Ahhh, Texas in the summer.
Luckily the kids found a way to entertain themselves:
This was the first time they had been to Grandaddy and Grandebbie’s in house the summertime and they celebrated that fact. Hard.

We hit some highlights–Dave and Buster’s, trampoline park, inflatable obstacle courses–and of course some priorities of my own.

But the real treasure of Dallas was the people.

Apparently we were so busy having fun that I neglected to take many pictures. π But if you hosted us or fed us or met up with us and most importantly LAUGHED with us, thank you so much. Every one of you is cherished and Big D wouldn’t be the same without you.
