The Emerald City

After Portland was a (relatively) short drive up to Seattle for a little city time for us country mice. They say it rains in Seattle but I feel like that’s a misrepresentation…

Seems like all sun and sand to me 🤷🏼‍♀️

We got a chance to play tourist with the kids which I’ve been wanting to do since my 40th birthday trip there (sans kids involving a lot more walking and shopping and coffee❤️). We hit every favorite we could.

Note the Golly Chickens socks! Spreading the love!

I legitimately wish I could rock this outfit like she does.

Noah debated for easily 5-10 seconds about running in this fountain. But the answer was obvious. It was totally worth it.

And no trip to Seattle is complete without the sights and smells of the famous gum wall. We contributed, clearly.

But the very best part of Seattle was getting to see people we love. Jody, Nicole and I were classmates at Cornell and we were fortunate enough to be a part of a class that was very close. There will be many more 2005er visits on this trip, make sure you get on the list!

Thank you to Nicole for making the long (albeit kid-free) ferry ride to see us and big thanks to the Colonel and family for hosting us. We hope it’s not too long before we can return the favor. ❤️

Next stop, Yellowstone!
