We cruised up the 101 along the northern coast of California and the Southwest coast of Oregon. The kids were blown away by the wild dunes, the epic Sea Stack Monoliths, and….the surf was UP. We went to the beach and although it was toe-numbing, we had to at least sprint through the water’s edge. Sand dune bombing and sea glass hunting were on the menu too. Noah took one face plant, but was undeterred.

We stayed at a quiet lake campground – S’mores for everyone!
